| Zeyto login the screen you see when you open Zeyto | The database on your own computer | The steps below, on the computer where Zeyto Server is installed. |
Get back into Zeyto (the login on your computer)
Do this on the server computer - the one where Zeyto Server was installed. Your company data is not touched.
- Open the Windows Start Menu and choose Reset Zeyto login.
- Windows asks for permission (administrator). Accept.
- Type a username (a new name creates an administrator; an existing name gets its password reset), an optional recovery email, and the new password twice.
- Sign in to Zeyto with it.
Do not see "Reset Zeyto login"? You have an older version. Install the current one over it (your data is kept):
- Download the server installer from your downloads (current version 0.1.26) and run it.
- On Your existing Zeyto data leave Keep my data (recommended) selected and leave Back up my data first ticked.
- Tick I cannot sign in - let me set a new login now, then enter a username, a password and an optional recovery email.
- Finish the installer and sign in. A backup is saved in Documents\Zeyto Backups before anything changes.

Back up before you change anything
- Back up Zeyto data (Start Menu) saves a complete, verified copy of your books to Documents\Zeyto Backups. Copy it to another drive or a cloud folder; anyone who has the file can read your accounts.
- Restore Zeyto data (Start Menu) checks the backup first, keeps a safety copy of what is there now, and asks you to type RESTORE. If anything fails, your current data is left as it was.
- Uninstalling Zeyto asks whether to back up first and whether to delete the data. The default is to keep it.
