Zeyto vs Vyapar for UAE businesses

Vyapar is an India-first billing app that grew from the phone. Zeyto is a UAE-built ERP designed for shops, offices and warehouses that need real VAT, bilingual printing and multi-device access on their own network.

Different products, built for different countries

Vyapar is a popular billing and small-business app in India, phone-first and shaped around GST. Zeyto is a full offline-first ERP engineered for the UAE and wider GCC: 5% VAT, FTA-style returns, bilingual English and Arabic, and a proper multi-device setup for a real office or shop. If your business runs from a counter, a back office and a warehouse - and you need it all to work when the internet does not - Zeyto is the closer fit.

Why UAE owners switch

Where Zeyto is built for the UAE

Vyapar covers billing well for an Indian sole trader. UAE trading LLCs, retail branches and contracting firms usually need more.

shield-check

FTA-shaped VAT engine

Tax codes, invoice content rules and reverse-charge handling that map cleanly to the FTA VAT201 return - not a bolt-on to a GST engine.

languages

Bilingual English and Arabic

Full RTL layout, Arabic customer, item and account names beside English, Arabic amount-in-words on printed invoices.

wifi-off

Offline-first everything

Invoices, POS, stock moves, VAT figures, printing and backup all run on the local PostgreSQL - no cloud dependency to break the day.

network

Real multi-device

One database on the shop PC or LAN server, many billing counters, back-office desks and mobiles working on the same books at once.

printer

Serious printing

Bring your own letterhead, coloured PDF invoices, thermal and A4 layouts, barcode and label sheets, all editable in the built-in designer.

handshake

Local partners

Named IT partners across the Emirates handle setup, training, hardware and on-site support - not just a chat window.

VAT and books

A real ledger, not a billing app that added tax later

Zeyto keeps a proper double-entry ledger under every voucher: sales invoices, purchase bills, expenses, payments, journals, stock movements and depreciation all post to real accounts. The VAT engine sits on top and produces figures that line up with the FTA VAT201 boxes, backed by sales and purchase registers you can hand to your auditor. That is a different design from a billing app that generates GST summaries.

POS and shop floor

Retail and F&B built for UAE floors

If you run a supermarket, a grocery, a pharmacy, a cafe or a restaurant, POS is not a screen - it is the whole business. Zeyto's POS is a first-class module, not an add-on.

scan-barcode

Barcode-first

Scan, weigh, add, tender - the whole flow is keyboard and scanner driven with hotkeys for the tricky parts.

moon

Night mode

Dark UI for long shifts and low-light counters, without hurting the cashier's eyes.

cloud-off

Offline all day

The counter never freezes because the router died - the POS talks to the local PostgreSQL, not the cloud.

receipt

Thermal receipts

80 mm and 58 mm layouts with your logo, VAT number, bilingual footer and QR code.

users

Many counters

One database, multiple tills; end-of-day and z-report roll up across all of them.

boxes

Live stock

Every scan hits real stock, so shrinkage, batches and expiries are visible the same day.

Migration

Moving from Vyapar to Zeyto in five steps

Most UAE owners keep their existing tool as a read-only archive and start Zeyto clean from a chosen go-live date. Your partner can compress this into a weekend.

1

Export from Vyapar

Pull customers, suppliers, items and opening balances out of Vyapar to Excel or CSV.

2

Install Zeyto

Install the Zeyto binary on your main PC or LAN server; open the .zlic licence file.

3

Import masters

Use the Import Center to bring customers, suppliers, items, chart of accounts and price lists into Zeyto.

4

Set opening balances

Post opening trial balance, opening stock with batches and serials, and open supplier and customer balances.

5

Go live and archive Vyapar

Cut over on the chosen date; keep Vyapar installed read-only for a few months in case an old invoice needs a reprint.

FAQ

Straight answers

Does Vyapar work well for UAE 5% VAT?
Vyapar was designed around Indian GST, with HSN codes and returns like GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. You can configure a 5% tax rate for the UAE, but there is no native FTA VAT201 mapping, no built-in reverse-charge accounting for imports of services, and no bilingual English and Arabic tax invoice as a first-class feature. Zeyto is built on the UAE VAT rules from the ground up and outputs box-by-box figures for the VAT201 return.
Is Zeyto more expensive than Vyapar?
Vyapar is priced for very small Indian traders and starts extremely low; Zeyto sits above that as a full ERP with double-entry accounting, multi-device access, POS, warehouse and bilingual printing. For a shopkeeper who only needs a phone-based bill book, Vyapar is cheaper. For a UAE LLC that needs proper VAT, multiple counters, stock control and an auditor-friendly ledger, Zeyto is usually the lower total cost once you count add-ons, workarounds and lost time.
Can I run Zeyto on several PCs at once, like a real office setup?
Yes. Zeyto is designed for a LAN: one PostgreSQL database on a shop PC or small server, and any number of billing counters, back-office desks, storekeepers and managers working on the same books at the same time. Remote users can also reach the same database through an outbound-only web link, so tablets and mobiles at branches or on the road stay in sync without exposing the server to the public internet.
Does Zeyto work offline like the Vyapar desktop version?
Yes, and it goes further. Zeyto is offline-first by design: invoicing, POS, stock, VAT calculations, printing and backup all run from the local PostgreSQL with zero internet indefinitely. The cloud side only handles licence checks and, optionally, encrypted backups. There is no cloud dependency that will freeze the counter when Etisalat or du has an issue.
Can I import my Vyapar data into Zeyto?
Yes. Zeyto ships with an Import Center that reads CSV and Excel files, so you can export customers, suppliers, items, opening balances and price lists from Vyapar and bring them into Zeyto. Most UAE owners keep the old tool installed for a few months as a read-only archive and start Zeyto clean from a chosen go-live date; your local Zeyto partner can run the whole migration over a weekend.
Which is better for Arabic invoicing and bilingual printing?
Zeyto. It is bilingual English and Arabic across the entire product, with full right-to-left layout, Arabic names for customers, items and accounts alongside English, and Arabic amount-in-words on printed invoices. Its document designer produces coloured, letterheaded PDFs and thermal receipts in the language and layout the FTA and your customers expect. Vyapar is not designed around Arabic RTL and does not offer this as a native experience.
